Today, January 18, 2005, the news media is reporting the existence, of Web sites, within the states, of Arizona, and Washington, which are existing, such to provide motorists, a channel, which is used, for reporting reckless drivers.
For some, this is an opportunity, which is affording the average citizen an avenue, via which the citizen is directing personal concerns, about a perceived problem, toward law enforcement.
Remember, law enforcement personnel are, as evaluated, by The Baby Boomer News, common people, as are we all, for whom uncommon power is accruing.
There is, always, a need, such that illegalities are existing.
Without illegalities, law enforcement personnel are without employment.
As this, aforementioned, employment situation is continuing, such to exist, citizens must remain aware: law enforcement is being tempted, toward that, which is fostering, ongoing LE, employment.
Civiliaztions, which are encouraging citizens, such to "turn-on" one another, are very often, civilizations, which are experiencing decline.
The current atmosphere, which is encouraging the use, of proactive methods, by law enforcement, is a dangerous condition.
TBBN is stating: law enforcement is not correct, within methodology, or action, as they move, from a passive, toward a proactive modus operandi.
Law enforcement is, correctly, restricted, such to a passive role, within the USA society; springing into action, after an offense is committed.
In addition, TBBN is holding the opinion, while pursuing traffic laws' enforcement, LE is, correctly, restricted, such that LE is pursuing, only, the citizens observed, by LE, as the citizen is violating the traffic code.
The general public is not, correctly, involved, with the identification, of traffic code offenders.
The citizens are not sworn officers, of the court; the citizens are not empowered, nor are they trained, such to identify, with consistent accuracy, what is and what is not traffic code violation; citizens complaints should not be used, as the basis, upon which, LE is initiating a mail contact, with a citizen regarding alleged traffic code violations.
Nasty, spiteful, vengeful personalities are comprising a substantial percentage, of the USA citizenry.
Likely, these folks are attempting, such to manipulate this, citizen-participation, methodology, as a weapon, which is used, for the detriment, of other citizens.
True, the police departments, which are using this, citizen-participation, methodology, may have controls in place.

The controls are, according to departments' spokesmen, designed to "flag" suspicious complaints.
This, "ends justifies the means", methodology may, or may not, be incorruptible, as those knowledgeable, about the Web, are the users.
A robust, safe system is, not, sufficient evidence, such that the citizens are becoming involved, with the aiding, and the abetting, of law enforcement's application, of the traffic codes.
