TBBN does hold the opinion: a dilution, of the qualities, which are defining, a college education, within the USA, is, currently, the status quo.
The higher learning institutions, which are the lackeys, of the federal, financial aid for higher education, programs, are responsible for 'dumbing down' the college curriculum.
This, dilution process enables the acceptance, of students, who are not qualified as individuals adequate to the task, which is the absorption, of a classic, rigorous, college level education.
Certainly, this process provides the learning institutions with access to the federal monies, which are attached to the less than prime students. This access, into the big money, is the motivating factor.
This dilution process does negatively affect, all of us, who are USA citizens.
Those of us, who do comprise the, uneducated, USA, citizen majority, do hope; the college educated members of our society are providing, the leadership, and are producing significant innovations.
These desired contributions are being necessary, while the USA's dominance, among world cultures, is being maintained..
What does happen to this hope, when many college graduates are as commonly gifted as are the non-graduates?
TBBN does believe; college curricula are, correctly, being returned, toward the intensity levels, which are existing, before the federal government is becoming, the major financial benefactor, of higher education. These standards are in place, before the arrival, of affirmative action, as well.
These, reactivated, strengthened curricula, would be endurable, and absorbable, by only a minority of students graduating from high schools.
Post secondary education is not for the masses.
Previously, the University of California is proposing elimination of the SAT I test as a prerequisite to admission into U.C. TBBN does not agree; this proposal should be implemented.
If implemented, in California, such a practice may likely spread across the USA.
